Our 1st Wild Turkey of the 2007 season starts with this
Osceola Turkey harvested by Bart Starr on 3/18/07
near Okeechobee, Florida.

Opening day in Georgia brought clear skies and a great
morning to be in the woods.  Mike Fletcher harvested this nice 3 year old longbeard at 10 steps.  3/24/07

Their hunt will be featured on Cabelas "Memories in the Field" on July 30, 2007 and our local "Southern Outdoors" (watch June 3rd on WALB, 8am)
Mike Allen with 6 year old son, Krew enjoyed a classic turkey
hunt this morning. We set-up early, close to the lone gobbler
and Jimmy gave him a few calls, and in a few minutes the old boy was strutting at 25 yards. Krew was quiet and still while his dad made a perfect shot. Congratulations to both!  3/29/07

Success after 3 hunts on April 1, 2007, Billy Joe and Rosie
Lovette team up for a fantastic double. Lured in by the
B-Mobile decoy with the Wayne "fan", we were up close for
the shot.

My first morning to carry a gun this season and wow, did it happen quick. A hen was yelping back to me in a clear-cut
and in less than 2 minutes the old gobbler was at 20 yards.

Joe Parker (left) started Jimmy turkey hunting, and today he brought friend, Rick Herr for his 1st turkey hunt. This big boy had 3 hens with him, but we got him in to 26 steps. 4/16/07

After a hard day of hunting yesterday, Nolan and I got this bird fired up off the roost. He gobbled all the way to us, through a clear-cut and Nolan dropped the hammer after about 3 minutes.

Earnie misses an easy shot at 2 big jakes and gets Phil and me laughing on this morning turkey hunt.  4/21/07

Jimmy Whatley holds his first Gould's Wild Turkey
he harvested hunting in Sonora, Mexico. This is the 5th
subspecies for Jimmy, giving him the "ROYAL SLAM".
